Stone Flooring / Slate Tile
Slate tiles are preferred as a flooring material as it is regarded as really stain resistant due to the tiles texture. In addition, liquids cannot penetrate the tiles which also a very important quality for floor tiles. The slate tiles are usually not very slippery as the surface is not completely slick. A lot of people also prefer slate tiles as they have a bit different appearance than all the other well know floor tiles, thus they give a unique look to your home. Furthermore, slate tiles are more durable for example if you compare them with hardwood floors or carpeting. Quite often these tiles are used in places with heavy traffic as the maintenance process for slate tiles usually does not consist of anything else than just some mopping once in a while.
The installation process of slate tiles does not differ much from the ordinary installation of other types of floor tiles, like for example ceramic floor tiles. Therefore, there are basically not extra problems or costs when comparing the installation of other floor tiles and slate tiles. In addition, slate tiles can also be installed in all parts of the home or wherever you find it suitable.
